The Menin Road and Hell Fire Corner

The eastern direction of this road made it the main artery for the sector from northeast to southeast for four years and a target of constant shelling by German artillery.

Today, only a number of cemeteries and the memory of this hell remains a witness to the many thousands of troops who moved along this road to the battlefield.
